I am so very excited about my new collection, I've been glazing today, and there are some new bits in the kiln firing! I've decided on which direction to go in on folksy. So a lot of activity in the studio this week!
I'm still thinking birds, and now I'm seeing them everywhere, on all sorts of things that have been n my house for ages! At least it will be a change from my obsession with hearts, or maybe I'll just mix the two and everything I make will be birds and hearts! We shall see where my brain takes us!
I've had a lot of support from fellow crafters and customers this past week, so if you have encouraged me in any way, or purchased any of my ceramics, I thank you greatly!

Well I'm a bit rubbish at updating my blog! I have however managed to complete my news years resolutions! One of which was to lose some pounds, (weight wise, not financially) and the second was to get my work online so people could buy it. So I now have a folksy shop,  http://folksy.com/shops/lauraspottyceramics and so far it's been super! Lots of positive feedback, and a fair few purchases! So I am delighted!
On a more personal note, it looks like me and the BF Tommy may well be moving to Bristol. Very excited, Bristol has a good reputation for being crafty, so I should feel right at home! We've put an offer in on a house, just waiting on news of the exchange date. So fingers crossed! Eeeeeeek! Plus it has a garage, with windows, and a loft (don't ask!) so once we've got some insulation, and plumbing in there I will have a new studio!
I'm hoping to persuade the BF to let me have some chickens, I'm going to try and work the inspiration angle, so there may have to be a few chicken inspired pots for me to pull it off!
Just waiting for the kiln to cool down so I can get glazing! I have to resist the temptation to have a peek, so I'm going to avoid the studio until tomorrow. But watch this space for the Spring/Summer 2012 range, butterflies, birds, and of course hearts are all in there!!
